Patient Diversity in Clinical Trials

Did you know that differences between people can lead to variable responses to the same medication?

The gender, age, race, and ethnic origin of a patient can sometimes play a role in how a potential treatment may work in a patient, so it is important to include diverse patient populations in clinical trials. Including diverse populations also ensures that the trial participants reflect the patients who suffer from the condition under investigation.
